Psychological Assessments FAQ

What is a pre-employment psychological evaluation?

These evaluations are an examination of whether public safety candidates are free from job-relevant mental and emotional impairments including, but not limited to, psychopathology, personality disorders, and inappropriate behavior patterns.

Is the testing done in-person or online?

Our company has been in business for over 30 years and in 2020 we pivoted from conducting our evaluations fully in-person to a completely online and digital testing procedure. With access to data that allows us to compare in-person to online testing results, the changes have only been positive and there are no statistically significant differences in the outcomes. For a more detailed explanation, please contact us and we would love to discuss it further.

How do your services compare to what others are doing in the industry?

While the psychological testing services are relatively standard and we have a code to follow (WAC 139-07-030; one of the most [if not the most] rigorous code requirements for public safety psychological evaluations in the nation), we pull from 30-plus years of company experience and expertise and we are constantly scouring the research to stay on the cutting edge. Additionally, working with the public safety sector is all we do and we we are proud to put first responders first.
